Cooperation among cooperatives

“Cooperation among cooperatives” is one of the Seven International Co-operative Principles embraced by co-ops around the world. At Woodsworth Housing Co-operative, we are proud to live out this principle by staying actively connected with the wider co-op movement and with our local community.

Our Memberships

Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada (CHF Canada)
Woodsworth is a member of CHF Canada, the national voice of housing co-ops. Members can create their own login to access resources on the CHF Canada website, and stay up to date by subscribing to their newsletter.

Co-operative Housing Federation of Toronto (CHFT)
We are also members of CHFT, which sponsored the founding of Woodsworth itself! Today, CHFT continues to support housing co-ops across Toronto through advocacy, education, and services.

St. Lawrence Neighbourhood Association (SLNA)
As part of the neighbourhood, Woodsworth is a proud member of the SLNA. Since 1982, the association has championed responsible development, pedestrian and public safety, and engagement with all levels of government. SLNA also sponsors local events such as REmarket.

Woodsworth members played a role in the SLNA’s very beginnings—our own Bill Ferguson was one of the three original applicants for the association’s letters patent.
