{"id":22575,"date":"2026-03-23T11:56:55","date_gmt":"2026-03-23T15:56:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.woodsworthcoop.ca\/?p=22575"},"modified":"2026-07-22T15:41:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-22T19:41:08","slug":"accepted-forms-of-payment-how-to-pay-housing-charges-and-fees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.woodsworthcoop.ca\/index.php\/accepted-forms-of-payment-how-to-pay-housing-charges-and-fees\/","title":{"rendered":"Accepted forms of payment: how to pay housing charges and fees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Updated: March 30, 2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Members may pay for housing charges and fees such as lock-out charges by a variety of ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>cheque or a series of post-dated cheques<\/li>\n<li>direct deposit from a bank account<\/li>\n<li>electronic funds transfer (EFT)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ontario Works (OW) and the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)<\/strong> allow for the &#8220;Pay Direct&#8221; option, where the shelter portion of income assistance is paid directly to a landlord for rent or housing charge.<\/p>\n<p>a) Contact your Case Manager: The recipient must inform their ODSP or OW caseworker that they wish to use the &#8220;pay direct&#8221; option.<\/p>\n<p>b) Authorization Form: The member should complete an &#8220;Authorization to Make Payment Directly to the Landlord&#8221; form.<\/p>\n<p>c) Provide Landlord Info: You need info for Woodsworth Housing Co-operative Inc.
